Vancouver Olympic Club Shines at the 2026 BC Athletics Outdoor Track & Field Championships

The 2026 BC Athletics Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held in Coquitlam from July 3–5, marked an outstanding weekend for the Vancouver Olympic Club. Our athletes demonstrated determination, resilience, and sportsmanship while competing against the province’s best, delivering impressive performances, personal bests, and podium finishes.

VOC was proudly represented by a talented group of athletes who showcased the results of their hard work and commitment throughout the season. We are incredibly proud of every athlete who wore the VOC colours with pride.

Championship Highlights

Our athletes captured two BC Championship titlestwo silver medals, and two bronze medals, while three athletes achieved BC Team Standards.

Harold Wong

  • 110m Hurdles – Gold (14.42) – BC Team Standard
  • 100m – 11.16 (4th)
  • Long Jump – 6.43m (4th)

Arjan Biring

  • 300m Hurdles – Gold (41.63 PB) – BC Team Standard
  • 100m Hurdles – Silver (14.13) – BC Team Standard

Looking Ahead

The season continues as several VOC athletes prepare to compete at the BC Summer Games in Kelowna later this month. Following that, qualifying athletes will represent both British Columbia and Vancouver Olympic Club at the Canadian Legion Youth Track & Field Championships in Regina, Saskatchewan.
