The Vancouver Olympic Club (VOC) is B.C.’s first track and field club, established in 1949 by UBC Professor Bob Osborne and Canadian track and field pioneer Frederick Rowell.
Over the past 75 years, the club has provided training and competitive opportunities to thousands of young people throughout the Lower Mainland.
Our club trains at the Point Grey Track in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Volunteering
Volunteers ensure our club delivers great track and field experiences for our youth.
VANCOUVER OLYMPIC CLUB FAMILY VOLUNTEER POLICY
Each VOC family is required to complete a minimum of 15 hours of volunteer service by the end of the season (including 10 hours of service at the Annual VOC Track Meet in April). Each family must write one post-dated cheque for the amount of $200. The cheque will be held in trust and will only be cashed if volunteer hours are not completed. All families meeting their required number of volunteer hours will have their cheque returned at the end of the season.
Each family is required to record volunteer hours, which will be requested prior to the end of the season. If you choose not to volunteer, please let our registrar know, and your cheque will be cashed on or after June 30th.
Volunteers assist with:
- Equipment – helping to move it out and then back in before and after practice
- Monitoring – to ensure the track is clear during practices.
- VOC Meet – our annual event, held in April, requires a volunteer commitment from all families
